Tysen Knight (born June 29, 1976) is an African-American urban pop artist.[1][2][3][4][5][6] He is well known for his street art, drawing inspiration from Buddha's teachings and pop art sense.[3]

Career

Knight is an international artist, muralist, and an award-winning filmmaker.[5] Knight had a documentary titled The Art of Hustle: Street Art Documentary.[1][7] It won the 'Best Feature Film Award 2018’ at the Oregon Documentary Film Festival.[3]

Knight was also an Artist Educator-in-residence for the Palm Springs Art Museum.[4][6]

In 2018, Knight partnered with the Palm Springs Unified School District and the Boys Art Mentorship (BAM) program in California.[1]

Tysen Knight Scholarship Fund

Established by Knight, the Tysen Knight Scholarship Fund is a self-supported initiative aimed at assisting high school students intending to pursue education and careers in the arts.[1] Annually, Knight personally selects one or more students to be recipients of the Tysen Knight Scholarship Fund.[1][3]
