Survivor Series 2005 was the nineteenth annual Survivor Series pay-per-view professional wrestling event for World Wrestling Entertainment. It took place on November 27, 2005 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The official theme song was "Lights Out" by P.O.D..

Trivia

  • Eddie Guerrero was originally scheduled to be on Team SmackDown, however due to his death on November 13 2005, Randy Orton was named to replace him.
  • The SmackDown Team Captain, Batista competed with a back injury.
  • For the third year running, Randy Orton was the sole survivor in his elimination match. It is also the second time he pinned Shawn Michaels in the final fall of the match, and the second time in three years Michaels eliminated Orton's two partners before being eliminated by Orton.
