Survivor Series 2005 was the nineteenth annual Survivor Series pay-per-view professional wrestling event for World Wrestling Entertainment. It took place on November 27, 2005 at the Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Michigan. The official theme song was "Lights Out" by P.O.D..

• Dark match: Juventud defeated Simon Dean (4:10)
  • Juventud pinned Dean.
• Booker T (w/Sharmell) defeated Chris Benoit (14:39)
  • Booker pinned Benoit to take a 1-0 lead in their "Best of 7" match series for the vacant WWE United States Championship.
• Trish Stratus (w/Mickie James) defeated Melina (w/Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro) to retain the WWE Women's Championship (6:30)
  • Stratus pinned Melina with a modified top rope Stratusfaction after interference from Mickie James.
• Triple H defeated Ric Flair in a Last Man Standing match (27:01)
  • Triple H won when Flair couldn't answer the 10 count after being hit with a sledgehammer.
• "The Cutting Edge" segment: Edge and Lita interviewed Dmitri Young of the Detroit Tigers
  • Young insulted Edge about his lack of a World Title.
• John Cena defeated Kurt Angle (w/Daivari as Special Guest Referee) to retain the WWE Championship (13:56)
  • Cena pinned Angle after an FU.
  • Daivari, along with RAW referees Chad Patton and Mickie Henson, were knocked out during the match. SmackDown referee Charles Robinson came out to make the three count.
• Theodore Long (w/Palmer Cannon) defeated Eric Bischoff (5:23)
  • Long pinned Bischoff after The Boogeyman hit Bischoff with a Pumphandle Slam.

• • The Undertaker returned following the main event, entering, in a casket carried by druids. The casket was struck by lightning after it was erected by the druids. Undertaker emerged from the flaming casket to attack several SmackDown superstars (Simon Dean, James Dick, Chad Dick, Funaki, Orlando Jordan, Brian Kendrick, Sylvan, Paul Burchill, and William Regal), who were standing in the ring. Randy Orton and his father Bob Orton escaped from being attacked.

Trivia

• Eddie Guerrero was originally scheduled to be on Team SmackDown, however due to his death on November 13 2005, Randy Orton was named to replace him.
• The SmackDown Team Captain, Batista competed with a back injury.
• For the third year running, Randy Orton was the sole survivor in his elimination match. It is also the second time he pinned Shawn Michaels in the final fall of the match, and the second time in three years Michaels eliminated Orton's two partners before being eliminated by Orton.
