Collin Raye (born Floyd Collin Wray August 22, 1960 in De Queen, Arkansas) is a country singer. He was Bubba Wray in the Wray Brothers Band before going solo as Collin.
Raye scored several major hits in the 90s, starting with 1991's "Love, Me", his first #1 (and second chart entry). Following that came a string of consistent Top 10 hits on Billboard's Country charts, including three other #1 hits: "In This Life", "My Kind Of Girl", and "I Can Still Feel You".
In 1996, Raye was featured on the Beach Boys' now out-of-print album "Stars and Stripes Vol. 1" singing lead vocals on a cover of their 1966 hit "Sloop John B" (itself a cover of a traditional sailing song of the West Indies). The Beach Boys themselves sang on the track as well, providing harmonies and backing vocals.
In 2006 he took his daughter on tour with him, and she joined him on stage for some of his material as well as singing a solo version of Sarah McLachlan's "Angel". She had previously worked with her father on his music video for "I Think About You".
Recently, Raye recorded a vocal track for a television commercial for undergarment manufacturer Fruit of the Loom, titled "You Can't Over-Love Your Underwear".
PCW Wrestling
Raye, a longtime friend of the Canadian Hart wrestling family has appeared on PCW Full Throttle in Arlington, Texas. He recently agreed to step into the ring with PCW's own Robert Evans, who has made a habit of interrupting Raye while singing the National Anthem. Their scheduled match against each other at Capital Punishment never took place due to Raye not being at the event.[citation needed]
