The main school building was built in the late 1930s. Student population quickly outgrew the facilities and the campus became a collection of small, outlying, buildings. Concern grew over the buildings being physically unsafe and in a state of decay. Plans were made for more integrated buildings and, in the summer of 2005, demolition of the old campus began. As of 2007, the entire campus had been demolished and the terrain leveled in preparation for a complete reconstruction. All classes are currently conducted in temporary buildings located south of the original campus in what was the baseball field. Athletic activities are held in nearby schools. It is estimated that the work will be completed by the year 2010.
