Virgin1 is a full basic cable channel that deserved into classic tv shows, and other mini classic short films as well as other top rated series. it was launched on September 5, 1999 as Carlton Select, as a Carlton Network distribution. Carlton Select is a network battle between Granada Plus, as well mainly shows (comedy, drama, even action) and movies. Carlton Select ripped off on September 2007 to become Virgin1, however, the channel was solded to Gannet Company (a division of Virgin) and airs selected shows with permantent movies.

Virgin 1 is also as a secondary channel, Virgin 2, launched on September 2, 2008. it was aired of mostly entertainment of new sights into 13 hours of quality programming.

Virgin 1 is premiering movies every Saturdays, compare to TBS, all weekend movies are breathtaking within all movies 24 hours a day. on January 2, 2009, Virgin 1 still launched in HD to broadcast in full 1080i HD resolution.

History

The channel was launched as Carlton Select on September 5, 1999, and it was only to survive movies, but only a few short films and TV shows including The Cosby Show, Everybody Loves Raymond, My Two Dads, Quantum Leap, Silk Stalkings, Cagney and Lacey, Perfect Strangers, Frasier, and Sex Matters.

Carlton Select is non-commercial to protect networks or any prohibit. servant programming may be entertain to households, leading cable to watch Carlton Select than 50% over by households last month. Carlton Select also airs movies every Weekdays at 8, and since then, Carlton Select were to battled with Granada Plus. however, insight to the other shows, a compulsion with Granada networks will term it's deal from cable sharing.

On July 6, 2005, Carlton Select is which to air the NFL Football simulcast on ESPN, but, the football game was pass due to some network failures. In January 2006, Carlton Select is also adding reality shows including Cops and Real TV, in-slighting to put all crime-stopping shows, Carlton Select will terminate all new reality shows called The Saturday Crime Block on Select.

After Carlton Select went shutting down on September 4, 2007, the channel was replaced as a other channel called Virgin 1 and owned by Gannet Company Inc. (a division of Virgin Entertainment) and broadcasts a lienau of major networks including Bravo, Living, Century TV, and Challenge. The channel is launched at 6:00PM, playing a loop of previews for 15 minutes, then at 8:00PM, Virgin 1 decided to launched a premiere shows from 2006-07 fall season and named it the television called The CW. The channel raised newer and better high rating of 98%.

There was also a original series called Route 10 and aired as a 30-minute preview on June 8, 2008. the channel was better than a 56% rating. Route 10 premiered on August 3, 2008, and the first episode reclaimed as a 6.34 rating by Nielsen.

This was a clone of Virgin1, which was launched in the UK on 1 October 2007, replacing ftn. this channel was notified the first and only international channel to broadcast Virgin1 outside the United States.
