InstantJam is a browser-based music-rhythm guitar game developed by InstantAction currently available on Facebook and InstantAction.com. InstantJam is free to play and offers players the option to buy songs and virtual items such as guitars, background videos and other objects as micro-transactions. Like InstantAction's previous games, InstantJam will eventually support the companies embed-tech which will allow players to embed the game nearly anywhere on the internet. The game is currently in open beta.

Gameplay

Whenever a player starts InstantJam it scans their hard-drive for songs that match any available note-charts within the game, which they can then play instantly. If they see a song on InstantJam's playlist that isn't on their hard-drive, they are given the option to buy it from Amazon.com or the iTunes store. They are given three free plays at the start of the game, with each one returning after thirty minutes. They may purchase more plays if they don't wish to wait. As players complete songs they are awarded fans and coins, which can be used to buy virtual items to enhance gameplay. Players can also send and request challenges from their friends along with gifts.

Upcoming features include a recorder, which will allow players to create their own note charts for songs not available on InstantJam's playlist, as well as avatars.
