NovaStor is a privately held software company with offices in Agoura Hills, California, USA, Hamburg, Germany and Zug, Switzerland. The company’s primary focus is providing backup and recovery software to home users, small and medium-sized businesses and enterprises. The company and its products are often compared to other backup and data protection solutions such as Symantec and EMC.[1] As of July 2010, the company serves more than 500,000 customers worldwide with customers such as Fasthosts, Sun Capital, T-Systems, The Dolder Resort and ADT Security Services.[2]

History

The company was founded in 1987.[3] In June 2009, NovaStor Corporation was bought out by a management-led investor group, who remains as the company’s majority shareholder.[4]

Products

NovaStor provides backup and recovery software for home users, businesses and managed service providers.[5] Their core focus is their cloud and enterprise solutions which provide the technology for onsite and offsite backup and the deployment of cloud-based managed services.[6]
