Invinsible is the forthcoming second studio album by American singer-songwriter Skylar Grey and her major-label debut. The album is set to be released in 2012 through KIDinaKORNER Records and Interscope Records.
Production and recording
The album's title is a portmanteau of "invisible" and "invincible", an idea that was given to her by Marilyn Manson. Grey has said that the album is to be a complete departure from any of her previous work, stating in interviews with Los Angeles Times Magazine and Rap-Up that the album's sound is "...commercial, yet avant-garde...", with "...cinematic beats and atmospheric hooks...",[1] and "...sonically I can tell you that every song sounds different and it's really diverse, kind of going from cinematic to fun to dark. Alex and I really push each other creatively...".
Recorded in 2010 and 2011, the album was entirely produced by Alex da Kid, and is set to feature Marilyn Manson as a guest artist.[2]
The album was originally set to be released in late 2011 or early 2012. Currently the album does not have a scheduled release date.
'Building A Monster' will be featured on the Frankenweenie soundtrack.[3]
