Wozniak was on series 11 of ''[[Taskmaster (TV series)|Taskmaster]]'', which started broadcast in March 2021. He would go on to win the series after beating long time series leader [[Sarah Kendall]] by just one point. This means that he is also the first competitor confirmed for Taskmaster Champion of Champions 3.

Mike Wozniak (1979),[1][2] is a British comedian, writer and actor.

He is best known for portraying Brian in the Channel 4 sitcom Man Down and as a member of the team that make Small Scenes for BBC Radio 4.[3][4]

Early life

Woziniak was born in Oxford and raised in Portsmouth.[5] He has Polish and Welsh ancestry.[6]

Career

Wozniak worked doing live sketch comedy starting in the late 1990s, and began trying stand-up comedy in 2007.[7][8]

He won the Amused Moose Laugh-Off contest at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2008.[9][10] He was nominated for the if.comedy newcomer award the same year.[9][11][12] Wozniak performed at the Adelaide Fringe in 2009.[7] Wozniak was nominated for the Edinburgh Best Comedy Show in 2013 but lost to Bridget Christie.

Television

Wozniak's first major role in television came when he was cast in the series Man Down in 2013 alongside Greg Davies.[13] He played Brian, a friend to Davies' character, and a straight-laced financial adviser.[13]

In 2015, he wrote a physical comedy starring Kim Cattrall and a troupe of acrobats entitled Ruby Robinson for Sky Arts.[14][15]

Wozniak was on series 11 of Taskmaster, which started broadcast in March 2021.

Film

In 2016, Wozniak played the role of Josh in Alice Lowe's Prevenge.[16]

Wozniak made his directorial debut with a short film entitled Sump, released in 2017 and screened at various film festivals.[3][8]

Podcasts

On his St. Elwick's Neighbourhood Association Newsletter Podcast, Wozniak plays the role of host Malcolm Durridge. The show focuses on the neighbourhood association newsletter of the fictional UK town of St Elwick's, forced through budgetary cuts to change from a printed edition to the "cheapest alternative": a podcast.[17] Wozniak also appears frequently in different roles on the Beef And Dairy Network Podcast.

Radio

Wozniak has appeared frequently in Tim Key's Late-Night Poetry Programme, notably in the episodes "Accountancy" and "Cuisine".
