In the light of the publication of fringe theories related to Ivermectin and the harbouring of discredited papers, I propose to change the first sentence: |
|||
''Old'': The American Journal of Therapeutics is a bimonthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering pharmacology and therapeutics. |
|||
''Proposed'': The American Journal of Therapeutics is a bimonthly peer-reviewed '''low-quality''' medical journal covering pharmacology and therapeutics '''well-regarded for its coverage of fringe medicine'''. |
|||
Were we to leave the text as it is, readers may get the false impression that the journal is reliable. |

Low-quality journal
In the light of the publication of fringe theories related to Ivermectin and the harbouring of discredited papers, I propose to change the first sentence:
Old: The American Journal of Therapeutics is a bimonthly peer-reviewed medical journal covering pharmacology and therapeutics.
Proposed: The American Journal of Therapeutics is a bimonthly peer-reviewed low-quality medical journal covering pharmacology and therapeutics well-regarded for its coverage of fringe medicine.
Were we to leave the text as it is, readers may get the false impression that the journal is reliable.
