Trivia

  • The band was originally called "The Uriah Omen", they also released a CD in that name entitled "A Kiss That Killed The One We Loved".
  • Schuylar is in the Project 86 music video "My Will Be A Dead Man"
  • The name of the band is derived from the vampire novel I Am Legend by author Richard Matheson.
  • Guitarist McKenzie Bell (one of the original five members) was kicked out of the band without explanation right before their Fall 2006 tour with Silverstein, Aiden, and It Dies Today.
  • Bell later joined the band "Bloodjinn"
  • Although not a "Christian band," He Is Legend is signed to Solid State Records, a Christian label. Lead singer Schuylar Croom has said he is a Christian, but also said: "Just because we're on a Christian label doesn't mean we go to church together every Sunday." (from and Alternative Press article)
  • Some songs on Suck out the Poison are sequels to songs off I Am Hollywood. "China White II" is the sequel to "China White." Both the songs have coinciding lyrics and both feature the character of a "Gardener." Then, "Dixie Wolf (The Seduction of...)" is a sequel to "The Seduction". "China White" contains the lyrics "You better get your gun, I see them watching you." And "China White II" contains "Your mother never looked so good, and your daddy should of brought his gun." "Dixie Wolf (The Seduction of...)" contains the lyrics "I took the pictures that you ruined from my wall", referencing the lyrics on "The Seduction" saying "paint over pictures on the wall I can't believe she gave me alcohol", and "No one remembered me, I was right after all.", which references to lyrics in "The Seduction" saying "And I do not think the people will remember us."
  • Mitchell Marlow, guitarist of the group Classic Case, filled in for the recently departed Mckenzie Bell as the second guitarist on the band's most recent tour with Silverstein, It Dies Today, and Aiden. There has been no mention of Marlow joining the group as a permanent member, although he is currently playing with He is Legend on their European tour in support of Norma Jean.
