Background
Following the rooftop concert on 30 January 1969, the Beatles began planning their comeback worldwide tour for late 1969 into 1970. The tour would start shortly after the release of their twelfth studio album Get Back, for which the tour was named after. The tour would be the first concert tour for the Beatles since their 1966 tour of the United States. The tour would be the first tour by the Beatles to use backing tracks, mainly because for songs such as Within You Without You which were originally not intended to be performed live and contained many elements that were difficult or impossible to perform live.

Phantom Night are an American rock band formed in 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. They consist of vocalist and guitarist Paul Webb, vocalist and guitarist Fyr, drummer Dylan Newman, and bassist and vocalist Runic. They formed in 2022 as an attempt by Webb to consolidate their solo projects into one project, although all the band members continue to do their own solo work on the side, using other band members as session musicians.

History

Formation (December 2021 - February 2022)

In December 2021, Webb and Runic were both planning their own solo EPs, using each other as session musicians for their own work. Runic's Nine Lives would eventually work into becoming his songs on the band's first LP. Webb's scrapped EP, Getting Better, named after the Beatles song of the same name, would have the same themes and tone as his work on the LP, although the majority of these early lyrics were deleted and not reworked. Fyr would soon join them with his own solo EP, Redline, but it would also be scrapped. All of these EP projects would be scrapped in early February 2022 when the trio decided that they would form their own band, later called Phantom Night.

Redline / We Live Different sessions (February 2022-)

The LP was originally titled Redline after Fyr's scrapped EP, which each member going to contribute his own songs to the LP. Later, the LP would be renamed to We Live Different. We Live Different is going to be a concept album, emphasizing each member's unique situation in life. Runic also put forward the idea of skits, which would be implemented.

The album's structure is planned to give each band member their own section of 3 songs and 1 introductory skit. Webb's introductory session will be heavily influenced by the Beatles, Coldplay, and Linkin Park. The first song, "Make Up Your Mind" is from Webb's scrapped EP and was cowritten by Webb and Runic in December 2021, although it has been heavily reworked.

Although much focus has been put on the LP, Runic and Webb are still planning their own solo EPs, with Webb's Silly Love Songs being announced on February 16th. It was decided that they would record We Live Different and Silly Love Songs at the same time.

On April 12, 2022, Dylan Newman joined the group as the drummer.
