Sphaerocarpos muccilloi is a species of liverwort in the Sphaerocarpaceae family.
Taxonomy
Sphaerocarpos muccilloi represents the Brazilian population of the genus Sphaerocarpos. It was first recognized as a distinct species by Eny Vianna in 1981, following the analysis of specimens collected from an earlier trip to Brazil in 1973.[1]
Distribution and habitat
The species is most commonly found in areas of light shade on damp soil.[1]
