On May 24, 2022, a mass shooting occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. At least fifteen people were killed[1] and 15 people injured, 13 of them children.[2][3]

Background

According to a Facebook post by the school, it was placed on lockdown at 11:43 a.m CDT in response to gunshots in the neighborhood.[4][better source needed]

Police said that the suspect had been arrested by 1:00 PM.[1] However, later reports indicate the 18 year old high school student suspected to be the shooter was also dead.[2]
