== Sources ==

Hi there. I saw your recent edit to [[Beenzino]] and just wanted to let you know that one of the sourves you used (Allkpop) is considered an unreliable source. I didn't revert your edit as the article already contains multiple unreliabe sources, but please keep this in mind for future edits. There's actually a list of sources relating to articles within WikiProject Korea which you might find helpful, you can find that [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Korea/Reliable sources|''here'']]. If you're not sure on a source, you can always ask other editors on the talk page. Have a good day, [[User:Alexanderlee|Alex]] ([[User talk:Alexanderlee|talk]]) 19:10, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
:@{{u|Alexanderlee}} I've gone ahead and removed the source myself--I don't want to add fuel to the fire. I'm fairly new to editing articles that usually only contain reliable sources not in the English language, so I tried my best to stick to sources not written in Korean. Using Allkpop is perhaps a failed attempt at doing so. At the end of the day I gave up--there really isn't much to see in the English language--and stuck to Korean ones. I suppose that's fine, or does some notation needed to be added that it's not in English? Thanks for the list of sources. '''[[User:Biodev|biodev]]''' 19:16, 10 April 2021 (UTC)
::Sources in other languages are acceptable, you would just need to add the langauge parameter and the language code, which for Korean sources would be <code><nowiki>|lanuage=ko</nowiki></code> (as far as I'm aware, this parameter isn't needed if the source is in English). Hope that helps you! [[User:Alexanderlee|Alex]] ([[User talk:Alexanderlee|talk]]) 19:25, 10 April 2021 (UTC)

Question

I see that you are displaying the Userbox that is given to recipients of the Editor of the Week award. I have checked the list of those awarded throughout the past Nine years and I do not find you listed either as WikiPancake or Biodev. I may be mistaken but it seems you also created your own EddyBanner at [1]. I request that you remove the deceptive userbox from your User page and that you destroy the EddyBanner. Maybe some day someone will nominate you and you can rightfully display the Userbox. Till that happens you are deceiving your fellow editors. Pinging User:Isaacl. ―Buster7  01:48, 18 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Buster7 Years ago, I renamed my original username, The Pancake of Heaven!, to WikiPancake. Only recently did I decide to change it once again to biodev. Five years ago you left a message on my talk page to congratulate me on the award. For the record, I didn't create the EddyBanner -- it was displayed on one of the Editor of the Week project pages. I just pasted it into my awards page. I did create the userbox though. Hope this clears things up; my apologies for not mentioning I used to edit under The Pancake of Heaven!. But no, I'm not trying to fool anyone haha. biodev 07:20, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, I did document these username changes a while ago on the recipients list on Editor of the Week page. biodev 07:47, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
My sincere apologies. I was wrong. I don't know how I missed your name which I see NOW is clearly on the list. Sorry. ―Buster7  08:17, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! Keep up the good work; it's good to see the award continues to this day. Recognition of hard work is always a good motivation to continue editing. biodev 08:20, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Looking for feedback: Elliot Grainge draft

Hi Asoundd. I saw you’re a member of WikiProject Hip Hop. I created a draft article for music executive Elliot Grainge from 10K Projects - are you able to take a look and give me feedback?I work for Elliot, which I understand is a conflict of interest according to Wikipedia policy, so was hoping to get the assistance of an independent editor. The draft article is here: [2] Thanks. Musicfan100 (talk) 14:32, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Musicfan100 Thanks for reaching out -- I certainly appreciate that you've taken the step to respect Wikipedia's policies by contacting editors beforehand! I would recommend first reading through Wikipedia's paid-contribution disclosure policies. The Wikimedia Foundation has firm guidelines for paid contributions, including disclosing your status as a paid editor on your user page, so please take a moment to read through them first. As for the article itself, I'm not too concerned about its WP:NOTABILITY or WP:NPOV as of its current state, but it would be worth submitting it to WP:AfC once you're happy with how it looks. The AfC process gives your article a thorough review by an experienced editor, and I recommend doing this for all paid contributions (just in case their article gets nominated for deletion later, which would be a hassle for you and your client/employer). But yes, I'm happy to look over it and fix some conventional/syntax errors before you make any submissions. asoundd 20:19, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, I just realized you've followed the disclosure policies on paid editing. Thank you -- I'll do some basic revisions before you submit it to AfC/create the article. asoundd 20:22, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
