Tim Sheehy is the Founder and CEO of Bridger Aerospace. Tim Sheehy attended the United States Naval Academy.

Tim Sheehy (born November 18, 1985) is an American businessman and combat veteran. He completed over 200 missions[1] in various parts of the world, including Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, and the Pacific AO[2].

Early life and education

Sheehy graduated[3] from the the US Naval Academy in 2008[4]. He was the first Midshipman to complete the US Army Special Operations exchange program and graduate from the United States Army Ranger School[5]. He finished as an Honor Graduate of his class.

Military service

Sheehy served as a Navy SEAL Officer and Team Leader[2]. During his deployments, he completed over 200 missions[1] and was involved[2] in dozens of engagements with enemy forces. He received multiple combat decorations, including[2] the Bronze Star with Valor for Heroism in Combat and the Purple Heart Medal.

Career

After being wounded in combat[6] and injured in the line of duty several times, Sheehy was medically discharged[7] from the military. He moved[8] to Montana to start Bridger Aerospace in late 2014 with an all veteran founding team[8]. Sheehy led the growth of Bridger and its sister company, Ascent Vision Technologies[9], to over 300 employees. Bridger eventually went public[10] on the NASDAQ in 2023. Through his businesses, Sheehy has created hundreds of jobs and over one billion in enterprise value[11] in the rural Montana economy. Today, Bridger Aerospace is a major Montana employer and recently joined the ranks of a small group of publicly traded companies in Montana.

Sheehy is an active firefighting pilot[12], protecting America from wildfires in the CL415EAF Super Scooper.

Personal life

Sheehy met his wife, Carmen Sheehy, at the Naval Academy. She served as a Marine Officer[3] and is also a combat veteran. Sheehy and his wife Carmen are supporters[13] of the Bozeman Hospital and many other Montana charities[14]. They are also teaching their four children to ranch on their 20,000-acre cattle ranch[15] where they raise, feed, and process cattle to help develop America’s food supply chain.

In a recent report by Axios[1], Sheehy is said to be considering a run for the United States Senate.
