People who write "experimental music" should first read about experimental music. This is electronic music at the edge of pop, sometimes EDM or techno with a touch of pseudo-rock. I'm not judging the quality, just call a spade a spade. Zero experimentation in there.

Debby Friday is an electronic musician currently based in Toronto.

History

Friday was born in Nigeria, and raised in Montreal.[1] In 2018, she moved from Montreal to Vancouver.[2][1] Friday released her first EP, Bitchpunk, in 2018.[1] In August of 2019, she released her second EP, Death Drive. The album was named Bandcamp's "Album of the Day".[3] and received a 7.2 from Pitchfork.[4] In January 2023, Friday announced that her debut album, Good Luck, was released through Sub Pop on March 24, 2023. Alongside the announcement, she released a song titled "So Hard to Tell".[5]
