Taeillo is a Nigerian Afro-urban furniture company that specializes in creating contemporary and African-inspired designs using technology and craftsmanship.[1] Taeillo was founded by Jumoke Dada in 2018.[2]
History and Founding
Taeillo was established in Lagos, Nigeria in 2018.[3] [4] Jumoke Dada, the founder and creative director, drew inspiration from her Nigerian heritage and her passion for design to create a brand that celebrates local artistry.

Taeillo has raised about $3 million in funding over three rounds, starting from a $365, 000 pre-seed round in 2019.[5] Its first round was backed by Montane Capital, Co-Creation Hub (CcHub) and B-Knight. In January 2021, CcHub added another $150,000 investment in form of a convertible note.[6] Taeillo’s latest investment is a $2.5 million seed fund[7] raised in December 2022 from Lagos-based investor, Aruwa Capital Management, to help it scale its existing operations in Kenya.[8][9]
