Anyiko Owoko is a Kenyan entertainment and music publicist[1] who gained recognition for her work as the publicist of Sauti Sol and Coke Studio Africa. Early life and education
Anyiko studied journalism and mass communication at The University of Nairobi.[4]
Career
From 2012 to 2018, Owoko worked as a publicist for Sauti Sol, playing a role in the group's success and international recognition. During her time with the group, she led multiple PR campaigns to promote Sauti Sol in the music industry, contributing to their widespread acclaim.[5]
From 2015 to 2019, Owoko held the position of Entertainment and Music Publicist for Coke Studio Africa.[3] Notably, she facilitated the participation of international guests such as NE-YO,[6] Trey Songz, and Jason Derulo.
In 2022, Owoko participated as a panelist at the XP Music Futures conference, where she shared insights and experiences on emerging markets and streaming revenues in the music industry.
