Filmbuster was Goa's First Intercollegiate Media Event organized by Club Filmatics in association with the Department of Mass Communication of Don Bosco College Panjim on February 28, 2024, at the Don Bosco College Panjim campus.

Club Filmatics Council

Club Filmatics Council is the driving force behind the organization of Filmbuster and various other events. Comprised of dedicated individuals, the council plays a pivotal role in shaping the creative landscape of the organization.

Mario Pimenta, in his role as the Media Coordinator, plays a crucial role in promoting the club and its events, leveraging various media channels to reach a wider audience.

Inaugural Details

The event began with faculty in charge of Club Filmatics, Assistant Professor Sonika Lotlikar, and Coordinator of the Department of Mass Communication, Assistant Professor Archie Fernandes, escorting the Chief Guest, Rajendra Talak, to the dais. The event was declared open by Talak, who spoke about the importance of learning and creativity in media. Inaugural Dance was performed by former Marathi Serial Child Actress,Sakshi Nageshkar

• Sell A Prop - Participants styling, shuffling, and selling iconic props. (Event In-Charge: Miss Saisma Naik)
• Saap Seedy Aur Sholay - Human snake and ladder game. (Event In-Charge: Miss Analiese Ferrao)

The event concluded with a musical performance by DJ Doel.

Press Conference

Club Filmatics, in association with the Department of Mass Communication, organized a press conference on February 26, 2024, to announce the upcoming intercollegiate event Filmbuster. The event, scheduled for February 28, 2024, at Don Bosco College Panjim, aims to provide a platform for media students to showcase their creativity and talent. During the press conference, Ms. Sonika Lotliker, the Filmatics Faculty In Charge, highlighted the significance of the event in promoting media literacy among students. Ms. Devonna Gomes, the President of Club Filmatics, unveiled the lineup of events, promising a unique experience for participants and attendees. Mr. Mario Pimenta, the Media Coordinator, emphasized the role of media in amplifying the club's initiatives and extending the invitation to the press and guests to join Filmbuster.
