Beloit and Madison Railroad was a railroad line that ran between Beloit, Wisconsin and Madison, Wisconsin. It was built in the 1850s and acquired by Chicago and Northwestern.[1][2]

History

The line was built in the 1850s from Beloit to Madison. It originally went around a hill in Madison but was later dynamited to go through that hill. This was known as the Rock Cut.
