JZ Zaher (born June 19, 2000) also known as Joseph Zaher is a American college basketball player for the BGSU Falcons of the Mid-American Conference. He previously played for the Eastern Michigan Eagles.

Early life and high school career

Joseph, was born in Fenton, Michigan [1] He attended Flint Powers Catholic High School in Flint, Michigan [2] During his senior campaign at Flint Powers Catholic, Zaher averaged 4.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 0.4 assists [3]

College career

JZ Zaher is a sophomore guard for the Bowling Green State University (BGSU) Falcons[4]. He wears jersey number 17[5]. Prior to joining BGSU, Zaher played for Eastern Michigan[6].

During the 2023-24 season, Zaher appeared in seven games for the Falcons[7]. He recorded a season-high of four points against Ohio Dominican on December 10, including the first three-pointer of his collegiate career[8]. He averaged 4.4 minutes, 0.7 points, and 1.0 rebounds per game[9].

In a significant move, Zaher declared for the 2024 NBA draft[10]. This makes him the first Falcon to declare for this year’s draft[11].
