Higher is a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter Burna Boy, that was released on June 27, 2024. Through Spaceship Entertainment.[1] The song made history in Africa as the most streamed song on Spotify on the opening day of it release that surpasses 1.31 million streams on Spotify[2]

Background

The song is an uplifting song dedicated to Burna Boy’s hometown of Port Harcourt, where he engaged in humanitarian work by visiting the hospital where he paid the bills of the patients and also visiting schools which is intertwined with Burna Boy's ongoing commitment to uplift his community through Project Protect.[3][4][5]

Music Video

Higher music video was shot in Nigeria and was directed by Burna Boy and Asurf which was released in June 28, 2024[2]
