Curtis is the third studio album by rapper 50 Cent.

Initially, 50 Cent told MTV that he wanted to name the album Before I Self Destruct, but 50 decided to have ‘’Before I Self Destruct’’ be a follow up to “Curtis S.S.K.”. The S.S.K., which stands for SoundScan Killa, was intended to show the pressure he feels to succeed. [2] [3] However, he decided to change the album's title from Curtis S.S.K. to just “Curtis” instead, and to have “Before I Self Destruct” come out February 4th, 2008 (“Get Rich or Die Tryin’s” anniversary. [4]

Blige, Robin Thicke, Akon, Young Buck, Tony Yayo, and Nicole Scherzinger from the Pussycat Dolls. [6] And that producers Dr Dre, Eminem, Timbaland, Kayne West, Pharrel, Swizz Beats, Polow Da Don, and will.i.am will be contributing to the effort. [7]

Artists such as Robin Thicke, Justin Timberlake, and Akon have confirmed themselves that they will be a part of the album. [8] [9] [10]


In another interview with MTV, producer Jonathan Rotem discussed working with 50 Cent on the new album. Rotem said that 50 Cent was definitely into "soulful stuff". [11]

While on Tim Westwood's show on BBC Radio 1, 50 Cent confirmed that four singles with videos will be released before the release date: "Straight to the Bank", "Come & Go", "Amusement Park", and "Follow My Lead". He confirmed that the album would have eighteen tracks. He also stated that "Straight to the Bank" is the only track about money.

On the 25 April Albumvote reported that Eminem will feature on the album with a song called "Pipe Show".[12]

The album will have sixteen tracks and two bonus tracks.

A new track was leaked on April 27 called "Fully Loaded Clip", produced by Havoc. [13]
