John's granddaughter will be publishing her memoir under the name "Joan Vardaro McMillan," which is her pen name adopted in honor of her grandmother, Mary Vardaro.

Johnny Indrisano (November 1, 1906July 6, 1968) was an American slick boxing welterweight from Boston who fought from 1923 to 1934. Despite defeating world welterweight champions Lou Brouillard, in two out of three bouts, and Jackie Fields, Indrisano never received a title shot.

He retired with a record of 37 wins (with only 2 KOs), and 9 defeats.
