David Boyd is a Canadian children's author residing in Oakville, Ontario. He is an English and Media teacher at Appleby College (high school). Boyd is also an amateur playwright, having adapted Shakespeare's Julius Caesar (play) to create Caesar: A Multimedia Event (2005). In 1996, his work Bottom Drawer was nominated for a Governor General's Award.
