Requests for IP check

  • Vandal and attack accounts may be listed here for the purpose identifying and blocking the underlying IP address or open proxy. Requests to confirm sockpuppets of known users should be listed in the sockpuppet section above.
  • If you already know the IP address of the suspected open proxy, list it at Wikipedia:Open Proxies instead.
  • Use === Subsections ===, do not create subpages.
  • List user names using the {{checkuser|username}} template. Add new reports to the top of the section.
  • Requests may be acted on or declined according to the discretion of the checkuser admins. Responses will be noted here.
  • Answered requests will be moved to Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/IP check/Archive for 7 days, after which they will be deleted. No separate archive (other than the page history) will be maintained.

TOR/proxy user

This user was registered in early January. His only edit (that I saw on a cursory check) was to restore a thread at Talk:Mozilla Firefox that I had removed because of the fact that it was attracting open proxies and delved into attacking my blocking of other open proxies. Occam's razor suggests that this is the same individual and is using an open proxy or TOR node to edit.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 05:52, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Delisted Checkuser is not meant to identify people using open proxies. Please use the "Open Proxy" link located in the template at the top of this page to report this user. Diez2 20:55, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Relisted In fact checkuser is to be used to check if there is an underlying open proxy if you don't know the IP address. -- lucasbfr talk 12:30, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Several blocked proxies used, the latest does not seem to be one. Voice-of-All 18:39, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

George Elokobi

The sockpuppets of George Elokobi vandal. Full incident history is being compiled here. Checkuser request to reveal any other sleeper sockpuppets the vandal may stil posess. --The Fifth Horseman 09:06, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no Declined. Way too many A-class ranges. Voice-of-All 18:45, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Meganium

Suspected sockpuppets of Meganium that have appeared only lately with edits of "I'll just keep making accounts" "You can't stop me!" appearing on Talk pages when vandal warnings etc have been blanked. All accounts are persistent vandals. Checkuser request to reveal any other sockpuppets. Liverpool Scouse 23:08, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 IP blocked Open and shut. Voice-of-All 18:48, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deathwatch2006

Deathwatch2006 was indefinitely blocked on June 30, 2007 for continually uploading copyrighted images. Since then, that editor's sock puppets have been active disrupting, vandalising and generally edit warring, mainly to Radio North Sea International. Today, Psychodadak has uploaded another copyrighted image on Talk:Radio North Sea International. I think the time has come to block the IP address of Deathwatch2006, which I believe is 209.59.32.71. The latter IP address decided to vandalise my own user page yesterday!Phase4 19:53, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Panairjdde

Its been a while since I've worked with his sockpuppets, but rangeblocks, calls to Italian ISPs, blocks of open proxies, whatever it is.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 10:29, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jagged ruby

A big list of SPA's and presumed socks of a troll who likes to vandalize Carmel High School (Carmel, Indiana) and implicate or attack others or those who revert the attacks; began in May. New throwaway accounts being created at the rate of one or two a day. The troll's also revealing personal information, which may or may not be his own. All accounts listed above are presently blocked except for User:Boy jew. Acroterion (talk) 02:47, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There are more... I don't particularly feel like going through and listing them all, but I'm inclined to ask for a range here if possible given the nature of the vandalism. I don't want to say too much; but I'd be willing to elaborate via email.--Isotope23 talk 19:10, 24 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I take it we can add My name is zach patterson to that list, as well. --Dreaded Walrus t c 04:40, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I should also mention that each of these accounts that I have checked have been created usually within a minute or two before they commit their first "act", and they are rarely used again after the first "spree", although Acroterion already mentioned this. --Dreaded Walrus t c 05:04, 26 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
And now Robert Kitzenger, who wants us to believe he's Mackensen [1]. Acroterion (talk) 11:35, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Newspaper guy 999

User's only edits consisted of removing checkuser requests from this page. This strongly suggests he is a puppet. IP started editing his talk page after he was blocked. -Nard 19:49, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like Molag Bal if you ask me. Kwsn(Ni!) 19:52, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
information Note: I was generally as a non admin going through CAT:RFU and say that Newspaper account, after seeing his contribs it was clear it was a Molag sock and that IP address was me, I have had previous experience with Molag Bal sockpuppets so I decided to prevent his trolling as an anon, I did not deserve to be blocked as the IP, the user is a clear Molag Bal sock. — Rlest 20:17, 22 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 Confirmed. Voice-of-All 18:34, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Molag Bal

Apparently banned user creating sockpuppets; composing request based on WP:AN/I#Molag Bal is at it again. – Luna Santin (talk) 22:28, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here are several more:
These are the ones I've seen in the last few days, though I've seen most of them today. Acalamari 22:49, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added loads of long ones, earlier today I added these into Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of Molag Bal and left a note at WT:UAA after a discussion, I know Chrislk02 will remember this as he was blocking them and I was tagging them but a few months ago there were about 30-40 accounts created within seconds giving away they were Molag Bal who are all blocked, unfortunately they don't add into the above category because there userpages with the sockpuppet tags on were deleted per WP:DENY and WP:RBI. Just before User:86.147.71.85 removed my comment at WT:UAA and reverted all of my edits tagging them long usernames as Molag Bal sockpuppets, I'm going to add suspected sockpuppet tags until checkuser proves they're Molag Bal several of his sockpuppets contain long/confusing and rude usernames; those who have had experience with this matter will know the circumstances. Rlest 15:15, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I do hope you all realize that this user gains more satisfaction out of watching you guys chase him around and put him on this noticeboard than anything else. Just like the community ran around like a chicken with its head cut off when all the Mr. Oompapa socks came in. WP:RBI - eventually he'll just get bored of it. The Evil Spartan 23:53, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Malog Bog sent me an email swearing up and down that he has no idea who these are; I believe him too, based on the way he worded it (it's not like he has any reason to lie). I think you'll find out these users are from different ranges. The Evil Spartan 22:28, 21 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Checkuser request on wheels

Obviously Willy on Wheels, as he has somewhat of a strange obsession with me. MER-C 12:31, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another one for you; wheeling same page. --slakr 12:41, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
... and another one. --slakr 12:51, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalising Chrysler Cirrus (targeted by the move vandalism) prior to it. I think it's too much to be a coincidence... MER-C 13:54, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another one from the block log. MER-C 14:00, 13 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another bunch, from today. MER-C 13:33, 17 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

IP blocked Though the few are stale. Voice-of-All 18:21, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

JesseVixon21

He keeps creating new accounts after the last one is blocked indefinitely, so I think the next logical step is to block his IP temporarily. Extraordinary Machine 23:55, 10 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

no Declined. Not possible, and 2 of those are stale. Voice-of-All 18:05, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
