8TV Quickie is a 15-minute variety show that airs every night at 11.30pm, except for Wednesdays and Sundays at 12.00 midnight, on 8TV.

The hosts are Phat Fabes, Razif Hashim, Rina Omar, Aishah Sinclair and Belinda Chee.

Brief History

8TV Quickie premiered on January 8, 2004, the first day 8TV started its transmission at 9.30pm. Its original timeslot was 9.30pm to 9.45pm then resume from 11.45pm to 12.00 midnight on weeknights and 10.30pm to 10.45pm then resume from 11.45 pm to 12.00 midnight on weekends. In 2005, after more than a year on air, 8TV shortened its two-part 15-minutes nightly timeslot to only a one-part 15-minutes nightly.

Originally, the hosts were Soo Kui Jien, Marion Caunter, Rina Omar and Phat Fabes. Soo Kui Jien, better known as just Jien, left the show in February 2004, only about after a month it went on air. Later that year, he hosted Malaysian Idol with Sharifah Aleya (2004) and Cheryl Samad (2005). Jien was replaced with Adam Carruthers who began hosting 8TV Quickie in March 2004.

In May 2006, 8TV began airing its new reality show, One In A Million in which Marion hosted along with Awal Ashaari. Since then, Marion had occasionally been replaced with Aishah Sinclair. Later in September 2006, Adam left the show and Aishah and another newcomer known as Keshminder Sadhu (Kesh) replaced him as the permanent host.

Toward the end of 2006, it was Marion's turn to leave the Quickie, as she eventually headed for a job as a VJ in Channel V, leaving the two newcomers Aishah and Kesh as the weekday co-hosts. In January 2007, the Quickie welcomed a new addition, former newscaster Edleen Ismail.

Throughout the first four months of 2007, it turned out that Kesh and Edleen merely has "short stays" in the Quickie when they announced their departures in February and April respectively. In April, another new face, Razif Hashim, joins the crew and formed the current lineup.

On May 1 2007, Belinda Chee of Teman joined the crew.
