I am neither Abkhazian nor Georgian and have no specific interest in either perspective, but until the Abkhazian point of view is included, along with a reasonable chronogy of events, it may be necessary to place a POV on the article.[[User:68.5.64.178|68.5.64.178]] 21:28, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
This is told entirely from the Georgian perspective. It entirely ignores the Abkhazian perspective, which is that the Soviets forced them inside Georgia's borders, that their land was subject to massive immigration during Soviet rule that made them a minority in their own vountry -- and that Georgians were trying to wipe them out, ethnically and culturally.

It is also inaccurate -- the Abkhazians fought the Georgian army. I've seen photos of the then Goergian president, the former Soviet foreign minister, riding toward the front on a Georgian tank.
