Hi, can I use the image in a personalized Barnstar? (I also don't know if the blink thingy can be incorporated or if the image will fit inside the small part of the barnstar. Besides, I haven't learned how to make one yet). Anyways, the barnstar will be used to award good arguments in the Afd (a good Delete argument (countering all Keep votes or going against a snow keep and winning) or a good Keep argument (sufficient expansion of article until the Heymann Standard or going against a snow delete and winning). --[[User:Lenticel|<span style="color: teal; background: white; font-weight: bold">Lenticel</span>]] ([[User talk:Lenticel|<span style="color: green; font-weight: bold">talk</span>]]) 09:42, 25 October 2007 (UTC) |

Please look at this remark made by Calton on an edit I made. The term "Buckwheat" can and has been considered racist in the past. At the very least the remark is rude. Apparently this guy is still active--see this vandalism report on Meta. Blueboy96 20:59, 19 October 2007 (UTC)
- That report seems to have been added two years ago, with no additional updates since; I do not think this vandal is active anymore. --krimpet⟲ 21:25, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

You have been declared inactive at USRD. If this is in error, feel free to restore yourself to the list, but only if you are truly active at USRD. Regards, Rschen7754 (T C) 21:21, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
Dont let the shock troops scare you
Krimpet, don't let MONGO's shock troops scare you. These are not nonpartisan spectators at all. MONGO elected Crockspot to Admin status.[1] (which failed). Crockspot follows MONGO everywhere, defending everything MONGO does. Proabivouac continues to echo MONGO.
Despite an uproar, MONGO lost his admin status because of his nasty comments to others:
The 10 bigot and 2 racists comments are my favorite.
Several editors have been amazed that any wikiuser can get away with such comments. But somehow Mongo has. Maybe they all work for Homeland security like MONGO did--I dont know.
Editors have been complaining about his personal attacks on ANI for months, no one does anything.[2]
On a related note, the current Arbcom case with SOD/NuclearUmpf/Zer0faults mentioned above has a long history. I actually was the one who found out that NuclearUmpf was Zer0faults. NuclearUmpf suddenly turned on MONGO and revealed some pretty interesting information about how Mongo leads a group of editors on how to vote in AFDs, etc.[3][4] NuclearUmpf was protected from any administrative attacks until he turned against MONGOs group, then he was swiftly indefinetly banned.
Not that I am a nonpartisan spectator, MONGO and I have never seen eye to eye, just three months ago he was calling for my indefinete ban.
I am glad that an admin finally had the bravery and fortitude to stand up to such blatant abuse of WP:NPA. It is no surprise that several admins came to MONGOs aid when he got boot. If you look at his boot log, everyone of his boots is quickly revered. Noone (or is it No one?) should be above the rules. Thanks again.Travb (talk) 00:00, 21 October 2007 (UTC)
- Trav, I am advising you not to personally attack me. Have I ever talked trash about you? Krimpet made an error, and I offered her constructive criticism. - Crockspot 13:00, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thank you for the support. :) It does really disappoint me that editors like MONGO are able to consistently flout the civility rules that hold our project together, and are given carte blanche to game the system as they please. I really wish the community would start holding MONGO and friends accountable to the same policies and guidelines that apply to the rest of us; until then, the needless edit wars and drama will continue, the credibility of our project and its leadership will continue to go down the tubes, and overall our goal of building an encyclopedia will drift farther and farther away from us. :( --krimpet⟲ 18:07, 22 October 2007 (UTC)
- It was never "the civility rules" which held this] project together, but sincerity, rationality, insight and seriousness of purpose. Civility is an easy thing to game, and still easier for dishonest and insincere people. What you call civility amounts to hardly anything more than the absence of overt emotional content.Proabivouac 06:50, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- You have my support any time Krimpet. You are very brave, but in a levelheaded way. Travb (talk) 00:56, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for that, but it's only partially resolving the issue, on any dynamic pages (e.g. Watchlist) the notice keeps loading, displaying, then removing. Can we force it to not load in the first place? — xaosflux Talk 01:07, 23 October 2007 (UTC)
- Unfortunately that would probably have to be done at the developers' level. :/ It would be a fairly easy fix to this code, if someone can prod the devs to do it. --krimpet⟲ 01:19, 23 October 2007 (UTC)

Hello
I am a new member of Wikipedia. I look up to you as a leader of the Wikipedian force. I have a quick question: How do create userboxes because when I search the users of Wikipedia, it looks like a hot item. How do I do that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ps45 (talk • contribs) 03:49, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
- Welcome to Wikipedia! You can find detailed information on userboxes, where to find them, and how to add them to your talk page at Wikipedia:Userboxes. :) --krimpet⟲ 09:27, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
