Be'er Sheva North Railway Station (Hebrew: תחנת הרכבת באר שבע צפון, Takhanat HaRakevet Be-er Sheva Tzafon) is an Israel Railways station in Beersheba on the main intercity line from Tel Aviv and Nahariya to Beersheba. It is also a terminus on the Beersheba - Dimona spur. The station is located in Haharoshet St. near the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, to which it is linked by a pedestrian bridge.
History

As the only station in Beer Sheva, it served as the gateway to the Negev.[1] In 2002 it was decided to relocate the station 350 metres away with an additional island platform. The opening of the new station (with its current name) serves as a catalyst for growth in the region.[2]
