Morganwg [Glamorgan county as a whole] was one of the ancient Princedoms of Wales and for 'old' and proud residents, still exists as an indisoluble entity, political mapping, 'unitary-authority' expediency and gerymandering notwithstanding. The Welsh, being essentially 'tribal' and partisan, are inordineraly proud of their heritage.
