Watershed[4][3] is Swedish progressive death metal band Opeth's upcoming ninth studio album, and is tentatively due on June 3, 2008.[5] The album is to be distributed through Roadrunner Records. Opeth frontman Mikael Åkerfeldt stated the album is complete and contains seven tracks, each around the ten minute mark.[1][2][6] The album was recorded at Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden between November 1, 2007 and December 13, 2007.[3] The album title and track listing was announced on February 5, 2008.[3]

On March 10th, 2008, a live performance of the song "Heir Apparent" was released to the public, despite having bad sound quality.
