Maurice Joyce is a well-known Irish director and animator. Maurice was born in Dublin, Ireland and was formerly based in New York. He has worked on big name television shows and movies including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Beavis and Butthead Do America.

He also directed Doug's 1st Movie which is probably his best-known work. The film was an adaptation of the popular Nickelodeon kids TV show, Doug. It was released on March 26th 1999 and was distributed through Walt Disney Pictures. The film was a great success globally.
