Thanks for uploading :Image:P-000453-07-20h.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images.

Westerham Valley Branch Line
You've done some really great work with User:Ravenseft/Sandbox on the "Westerham Valley Branch Line". I've done a few edits to your work, hope you don't mind. If you need any help on this i'll be more than happy to help. There is a page on the mainspace, Westerham branch all ready to be created and linked in - i'll leave the hnour of creating such a good new article to you ;) Pickle 01:56, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Wealden line
I see your playing with this one now. Good luck! If your playing with route maps, why not look at WP:TRAIL first, there are some good examples and a lot of help there. Secondly while an article on this is needed, quite how it will overlap / interact with the Oxted line article (and others like the Cuckoo line and Three bridge to Tunbridge Wells) is an issue that i think the editors of these article need to really resolve first before we overlap too much. Keep up the good work! Pickle 03:47, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Allhallows Opening.JPG
Thanks for uploading :Image:Allhallows Opening.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.<!-- Template:No fair -->BetacommandBot 06:41, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Wolverton railway station
Thanks for adding all those dates to Wolverton railway station infobox. I assume you have reliable sources, so would you add the citations requested, please. That would be great. It's an article that at least deserves GA. --John Maynard Friedman (talk) 18:02, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

Hundred of Hoo railway
Reading what is said on <u>Subterranea Britannica</u> and <u>Kent Rail</u>, the situation at Grain Crossing was that the station closed to rail passenger traffic on 11-7-1951, but not to passengers until 3-9-1951, when Grain Station opened. That would be why a bus service was provided (presumably from Allhallows-on-Sea}. Mjroots (talk) 20:57, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
:I've corrected the stations open when original line opened, and added details of the situation re Grain Crossing Halt to the main article. Should be clear now.Mjroots (talk) 10:57, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
::As far as I know, the Gravesend West branch had no physical connection with the North Kent Line. Don't just take my word for it though! Mjroots (talk) 19:07, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
:::I checked Jowett's Railway Atlas and the Gravesend West branch passed under the North Kent line. Have amended template to show this. Mjroots (talk) 21:04, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
::::Article has been assessed as B class, but references need working on. I couldn't assess it myself as I've had too much input. Mjroots (talk) 20:18, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Re your revert, I'm not sure the line is electrified, in which case the edit was valid. Mjroots (talk) 12:41, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
Looking at the modern picture of Grain Crossing, the is no sign of any third rail. Mjroots (talk) 12:47, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

:Maybe it could be considered vandalism for the reason you stated, but it was that editor's first ever edit to wikipedia. Hardly surprising that he didn't leave an edit summary in that case. Mjroots (talk) 15:51, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of :Selsdon station railway station
A tag has been placed on :Selsdon station railway station requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, "See also" section, book reference, category tag, template tag, interwiki link, rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding <code>hangon</code> to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on Talk:Selsdon station railway station}}}|the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. == Ouse Valley Railway ==

This particular line may well be worth a mention as it would, had it been completed, changed the shape of the railways in the Weald (East Sussex). Its fate is interesting and I would like you to assist me in starting this off as a Stub. Given your legal background you could do some digging concerning the collapse of Overend and Gurney Bank in May 1866. Which stopped all major rail capital projects, both at home and abroad, besides which it's effect on the UK banking system as catastrophic. Let me have your views and ideas please. This was following a recent visit to the remaining bridges and embankments in January 2008. Aquizard 12:28, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your comments I will use the stub to perform the updates, with the information that I have. I have been made aware that the Directors in the LB&SCR were also Directors in Crystal Palace. Aquizard 20:18, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Steyning Line
I've given this its correct title - Adur Valley Line. I'd not heard of the abandoned spur at Christs Hospital. From the diagram it enabled trains to turn round and head bac towards London without reversing! Mjroots (talk) 22:35, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

In having discussions with some railway societies here in Sussex, the view is that whilst the line is mentioned in the Beeching 1 Report as unremunerative, in fact the reasons for closure were due to a lack of rolling stock. Basically not enough DEMUs to go around and run existing services when steam was removed from the BR system. Will be visiting the PRO at Kew this week to see what is in the files. :My preference is for the disused railways template, but both link to the same category. As I understand it, the disused railways template covers closed stations on open or closed lines. I think it is also used for former operationg companies when the station is still open - see Hoo Junction Staff Halt. ==Earnest Marples==

I have been advised by a friend that the Marples-Ridgeway shares owned by Marples himself were transferred to a blind trust and not to his wife as has been reported in the newspapers. I would assume that it may be possible to trace this transaction some way through the legal maze! Aquizard 20:18, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Also well done for adding the image of Entwistle railway station- I see it has changed since I last used it. AFCR (talk) 13:37, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
