Hosea Chanchez (born September 12, 1981), also credited as Hosea, is an American actor. He has gained recognition for his involvement in a number of television shows including his major role in the CW television series The Game.

Biography

Early life

Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Chanchez spent most of his childhood in Alabama and Atlanta, Georgia. By the age of 10, Chanchez knew that he wanted to become an actor because of the encouragement from his grandparents. He draws his support from his grandparents, and his mother who pursued a career as an interior designer. He is the older brother of two younger brothers.

Career

Chanchez's television credits include roles on several shows on The WB including Everwood, Close to Home, Jack & Bobby, and his recurring role on For Your Love (TV series). He was also apart of the cast in the films: The Outsider and My Brother and was the lead character in Rich Quick. Chanchez also has a theater background with roles in Shop Life, The Wiz, The Long Walk Home, Royal Oats and Glory.[1] He can currently be seen in the CW television series The Game. Rounding out the cast, Chanchez plays the role of the star quarterback, Malik Wright, whose mother is his manager, a role that is played by Wendy Raquel Robinson.

Personal life

Chanchez resides in Los Angeles, California and enjoys reading a good book and spending time with his Weimaraner puppy named Brando. [2]
