Northeast Christian Academy (NCA) is a Christian private college preparatory school located in the Kingwood section of Houston, Texas. It is a relatively small school consisting of preschool through grade 12. To enroll at the school students must pass an entrance test, have a clear academic and discipline record at their current school, and have recommendations from teachers and a pastor. NCA is fully accredited by the ACSI NCA is going through multiple faculty changes this year. There is a new principle, Bradley Baggett. Also, there are going to be many teacher changes this year. .

Student Life

There are a number of important aspects of student life at NCA which attempt to maintain a positive Christian environment for the students. The school incorporates the best practices of Classical and Christian education and offers a rigorous academic curriculum. NCA also has a well-developed athletic program that offers students a chance to enjoy all of the character-building benefits of being part of a competitive team. Low student-to-teacher ratios and a dedicated staff mentor students, helping them to develop both academically and personally.

Dress Code

NCA enforces a dress code that requires students to wear uniforms that the school has selected. This dress code is in effect every day of the week except on Chapel days (see below), "Dollar Denim Days", and Fridays. Every Friday the students are allowed to wear blue jeans and either an NCA shirt or uniform shirt. "Dollar Denim Days" are days designated by the administration when the students pay a dollar to be able to wear the regular Friday attire on another day. The funds raised from these days go either to the senior class or to another project designated by the administrators.

Chapel

Every Thursday all students must attend a chapel service in either the schools gym or in the adjacent church. These service consist of the chapel band playing worship songs followed by a guest speaker or other activity. Guest speakers have ranged from school administrators to such important figures as Ted Poe. On these chapel days male students should wear a dress shirt and tie as well as dress shoes and pants. Female students wear a dress, or a blouse and skirt or slacks that are considered appropriate church attire.
