Very little mentioned on his film work. It seems his stage work is given the majority of space beneath "Career". Should there be more? Stan weller 23:47, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

Recurring Motifs
While the whole 'recurring motifs' section probably counts as original research, I've removed this one in particular:

"Through his first three films he has so far maintained a recurrent motif where rain possibly indicates death. In American Beauty, the murderous climax unfolds on a rainy night. In Road to Perdition, both the murderous beginning and climax unfold on rainy nights. In Jarhead, the oil "rain" possibly symbolizes the death of the Marines' faith in the U.S. military."

Smacks of original research, particularly the last point, also sounds unsure (use of 'possibly'), and the use of rain in such a fashion is a common device not at all particular to Mendes.80.7.59.211 (talk) 17:36, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

Pronounciation of his last name

Does anyone know the proper pronounciation of his last name? I've heard Mendez and Mendees. -- NOT self-signed by Dqmillar at 21:45, 10 November 2005

As a portuguese (and because this is a portuguese name) I believe that the pronounciation for english spoken people would be Mendees. --Vitor Madeira 11:16, 5 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Categories

Why is he listed in Jewish categories when he's half Jewish and not Portuguese categories when he is half Portuguese? 72.144.198.119 04:40, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
