Attack of the Show! (previously named The Screen Savers) is a live American cable and satellite television program shown on G4. The show launched on March 28, 2005. It is hosted by Kevin Pereira, Sarah Lane, and Brendan Moran.
On March 17, 2005, the cast of The Screen Savers announced that on March 28, 2005, the name of the show would officially change from The Screen Savers to Attack of the Show. The last episode of The Screen Savers aired on March 18, 2005.
Attack of the Show is described as a gaming and entertainment variety show that presents gaming and technology related news, product demonstrations, software clinics, interviews with notable people, live music, and such original segments as The Feed, Frugality, Gems of the Internet, Free Play Friday, Damn Good Downloads, AOTS Verizon Broadaband Battle (Lan Party) and It Came From eBay. When Kevin Rose left the show they stopped showing a segment known as 'dark tip' in which the kevins would hack a device. On May 22, 2005, co-host Kevin Rose announced on his blog that he had been released from his contract with G4 with plans to leave the network. May 27, 2005 marked his last day of work at G4 and final appearance on Attack of the Show. Guest hosts have filled in for Rose until a permanent replacement is announced. They include:
- Adam Sessler and Morgan Webb of X-Play
- Chris Gore of the DVDuesday segment
- Peter Rojas of Engadget
- Geoff Keighley, Laura Foy, and Tina Wood of G4tv.com
- Tom Fulp of Newgrounds
- Wil O'Neal of CNET
- Seanbaby
- Jeff Gertsmann of Gamespot
