Maybe this article should begin with one or two sentences explaining '''what''' wea is/means, rather than just plunging straight into the etymology of the name? - [[User:Tournesol|Tournesol]] ([[User talk:Tournesol|talk]]) 19:46, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

this article needs to cover such things as:

  • is there a wea traditional religion?
  • is there a wea language?

Wea are a sub-tribe of the Iliniwek, just as the Ojibwe are a subtribe of the Anishinaabeg. So, just as Anishinaabemowin would cover Ojibwemowin, Odaawaamowin, Boodewaadamiimowin, Nakawemowin and Odishkwaagamiimowin, the language of the Iliniwek would cover the Wea. Large portions of this article discussing the size and location of the Northwest Territory and the internal organization of the Miami tribe were only peripherally relevant to this article and have been replaced by links to those pages. Merenta 19:02, 2 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a suggestion...
