Block log annotated

Please see here. I don't want this to set a precedent. This was only done to balance the situation with Blechnic. I'll note this at the ANI thread and that should be the end of it. If there are any problems with the block, let me know. Carcharoth (talk) 02:09, 19 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Commons

Hi Congratulations on the promotion of images per commons:User_talk:Bidgee :-) --Matilda talk 00:44, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I don't really bother looking at my Commons talk page. :P Bidgee (talk) 02:04, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

australian radio stations

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i think you need to chill out a bit when it comes to deleting peoples work. most other radio stations dont have sources that are on the list. However, so you can be "sure" here is a website that talks about the new station www.newmedia.com.au . I've been doing some imaging and production for the new station - So I cannot actually add to the list, so I suggest you fix it;) . TX is being built in the Wagga CBD —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.171.176.77 (talkcontribs) .

Please assume good faith. That list is in for some changes (IE: Sourcing and those station who can't be sourced will be removed). If you work from them then you have a conflict of interest to the company. Also I live in Wagga so where in the CBD is it located? PS. Please see User talk:59.101.100.194 for more info I've posted about www.newmedia.com.au. Bidgee (talk) 01:59, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

would this help? http://web.acma.gov.au/pls/radcom/licence_search.licence_lookup?pLICENCE_NO=483087

i suppose that isnt good enough either - considering that you have been lieing about talking to the ACMA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.68.62.152 (talk) 03:32, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not lieing about talking to ACMA (Infact they are withholding some info I'm after)! Thank you for the link which is reliable but as Matilda has said about the Wikipedia is not a crystal ball policy. Please add the station once the station is up and running (which no doubt will be in the local media). Bidgee (talk) 03:40, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Then will you remove all the other stations that are coming soon - like in wollongong? remembering that the original post is did say "coming soon"... so why not for stations that say (Future Service) ? like Wollongong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.68.62.152 (talk) 03:50, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I missed those but now have been removed as per Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. Bidgee (talk) 04:07, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • My two cents - the website at http://www.newmedia.com.au/ states Ben Shields reports that Wagga will soon have a new radio station. "HIT Country 88" will start broadcasting on LPON license FM88.0 in the city soon. Shields, who is the General Manager, expects to launch the station in the coming months. Wikipedia has a policy about future events: Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not#Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. I do not believe mention of the station before it airs is appropriate. The source does not meet the guideline of Wikipedia:Reliable sources - ie it is not a reliable, third-party, published source. When it is up and broadcasting ... add it to the list then --Matilda talk 02:06, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mortimer

  • Practically the only footballer I have ever heard of is Cazaly as in the song. If you think notable do add back with links :-) Glad to see you taking a break from retirement ;-) Regards --Matilda talk 00:08, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
    • Maybe there needs to be a list of famous wagga sportspeople? In the mean time however I have reformatted the section as it was getting busy and created anew stub Mortimer brothers :-) --Matilda talk 00:20, 22 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Have reverted the anons edits and left a note at their talk page. Will keep an eye on them. Cheers. -- Longhair\talk 11:08, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

My street light page was removed lots of times when it was just like the other street light links already there? im not really doing anything wrong to any one. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.179.179.33 (talk) 11:14, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Car photos

Hi Bidgee. I noticed that you have been taking some great car photos. I though I was the only user that actually took photographs of non-police cars in Australia. It is great to see that I am not alone. I would encourage you to continue to take photos of both police and "normal" vehicles so we can continue to illustrate Wikipedia articles. My only concern is that you upload photos without knowing the full details of the car. Below are a number of web sources that could make your job much, much easier:

  • Red Book: contains detailed model information (including make and models along with model designations like VE and VZ for the Holden Commodore, and BA, BF and FG for the Ford Falcon).
  • CarPoint: a used-car site that contains many images, thus making it very easy to indentify models. OSX (talkcontributions) 06:37, 24 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sacredland

I'm new to editing Wikipedia, so maybe this is not the right place to post this comment (in reference to your Lake Cowal criticism). I attempted to add an in-text citation to the Sacred Land report on Lake Cowal, which contains none of my own research. Apparently this citation didn't work, but I will attempt to recreate the information I provided with a working link as soon as I can Sacredland (talk) 23:56, 26 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Cut it out

Don't monitor me. --Blechnic (talk) 02:14, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not monitoring you! Carcharoth user talk page is in my watchlist and I've read whats been said and see the points of both sides but you need to cut the attitude to other editors as it's unhelpful and is unlikely to resolve the current issues with the editors. Incorrect data in chart

Russian GDP: 1,289,582 millions dollars

Russian population: 141,912,800

GDP per capita (2007): 9087 dollars per capita

GDP per capita (2006): 6954 dollars per capita

On chart we see 2500 dollars per capita for 2006 year

It is WP:PN, subject for speedy deletion.--93.80.101.39 (talk) 04:02, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is there a link to prove this? ATM the chart is sourced and if it is incorrect you need a source such as a link or a report/book. Bidgee (talk) 04:04, 1 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
