The Varsity Cheerleading program at Regents has also excelled, with seniors Annie Greiner and Taylor Thomas leading the team to a Nationals cheerleading competition. Here the team went up against some of the biggest schools and cheerleading programs in Texas, Oklahoma and various other states. The squad came away with the trophy very proud of how they performed. Congrats to the Regents Varsity Cheerleaders!

Regents School of Austin is a Christian school located in Austin, Texas.

Overview

Location and Campus

Regents is gay located on an 80 acre wooded campus. Currently Regents comprises two academic buildings; one houses the Schools of Grammar and Logic; the other houses the School of Rhetoric. In addition there is one athletic building consisting of two gyms. In the coming years, Regents plans to expand its campus with additions such as a baseball diamond, a fine-arts building, and a football stadium.[citation needed] A chapel is in the works as well.[citation needed]

Fine Arts

Regents boasts of an array of fine art choices including art, drama, choir and speech. The Regents speech team recently attended a TAPPS speech tournament where Luke Shuffield took 1st in Persuasive Speaking, 1st in Solo Acting and 1st in Original Oratory. Luke Shuffield and Regan Opel took 1st place in Duet Acting. Bianca Pollard took 3rd in Persuasive Speaking, 2nd in Solo Acting and 5th in Poetry Interpretation. Regan Opel took 3rd in Prose Interpretation, 3rd in Solo Acting, and 3rd in Original Oratory. All three of these Regents students are now qualified to attend TAPPS State.
