Order of Precedence of United States Military

In reference to your edits to the Military of the United States, http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Military_of_the_United_States&diff=228668846&oldid=228526985 there is an order of precedence of U.S. Armed Force perscribed in AR 840-10, 1 November 1998 http://www.usma.edu/Protocol/images/AR840-10.pdf

2–5. Order of precedence of flags The following is the order of precedence of flags:

e . Military organizational flags of the Services in order of precedence
(1) Cadets, United States Military Academy
(2) Midshipmen, United States Naval Academy
(3) Cadets, United States Air Force Academy
(4) Cadets, United States Coast Guard Academy
(5) Midshipmen, United States Merchant Marine Academy
(6) United States Army
(7) United States Marine Corps
(8) United States Navy
(9) United States Air Force
(10) United States Coast Guard
(11) Army National Guard of the United States
(12) Army Reserve
(13) Marine Corps Reserve
(14) Naval Reserve
(15) Air National Guard of the United States
(16) Air Force Reserve
(17) Coast Guard Reserve
(18) Other training organizations of the Army, Marine Corps,
Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, in that order, respectively.

Even though the United States Marine Corps falls under the Department of the Navy, it is still the second oldest service branch of the United States and therefore have the place of honor following the Army. If you have any concerns, please respond. -Signaleer (talk) 21:24, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly you have not responded and have persisted to make corrections to the article http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Military_of_the_United_States&diff=228703859&oldid=228685983 this has been noted. -Signaleer (talk) 13:53, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can not understand how that the USMC is older then the USN?! The USMC was originally organized on 10 November 1775 and the UNS was on October 13, 1775, the last time I looked at a calender October came before November? Call me and the rest of the world crazy. You have even stated that the USMC is within the Department of the Navy. You and many other supporters of the U.S. Marine Corps think of it as a separate branch of the military, but the truth it's not! The United States Armed Forces may have five branches. But only three Departments. Please prove to me I'm wrong? Show me a Marine Medal of Honor or Marine Cross? I can show you a Army, Navy or Air Force Medal of Honor or Army, Navy or Air Force Service Cross. Read the USMC seal, it clearly says the Department of the Navy, United States Marine Corps. - Sp8503 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sp 8503 (talkcontribs) 19:05, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The Department of the Army, Navy, and Air Force has nothing to do with the order of precedence which has been established by the United States Military. The United States Marine Corps falls second after the United States Army, being the oldest service branch of the United States. -Signaleer (talk) 19:24, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I can see your sticking hard to your guns, but that it still dose not change the fact that you are wrong! If you go by the oldes. Then it would be the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard & then Air Force! Fine then tell me which date is older? 10 November 1775 or October 13, 1775? You say be open minded. I guess that rule is for the rest of us, not for you? You could be a 15 year E-6 and I'm a 12 year E-7, I still out rank you because of the grade not the time in service! I'm still waiting for you to show me a Marine Medal of Honor or Marine Cross? Because I can still show you a Army, Navy or Air Force Medal of Honor or even a Army, Navy or Air Force Service Cross.
If you want we can go all day with this! - Sp8503 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sp 8503 (talkcontribs) 23:45, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

July 2008

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Military of the United States. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If necessary, pursue dispute resolution. -MBK004 23:55, 30 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry you feel that way, but the above section shows a reference from the united states military academy. Also, as a until-now uninvolved administrator, I reviewed all the evidence including all the conversation on user's talk pages before acting. You have been edit warring, refusing to provide citations to counteract the citation provided by the USMA (which is regarded as a reliable source. Also, admitting to getting another account and doing exactly the same thing will only lead to you never being able to edit wikipedia, I don't think you'd want that. -MBK004 02:22, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:08, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for edit warring and violating 3RR on Military of the United States. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below. -MBK004 02:21, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have re-set your block to one week for block evasion by User:131.6.84.111. -MBK004 19:32, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Block evasion by User:131.6.84.111? I can show you my IP address, and that's not it. I'm a real man I never asked anyone to stand up for me. So who ever this other unregestered user is I don't know. You say I have been violating that rule. How if I'm right? The other user is saying the USMC is older then the USN, but on this very web site it says the USN if older by a month. If you say I'm wrong then fix the D@mn site. Sp 8503 (talk) 20:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)--Sp 8503 (talk) 20:54, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

That IP address made the same edits as you shortly after your block. Also, we don't control the content of other sites - if information there is wrong, you're welcome to contact them yourself. As for your WP:3RR violation, Wikipedia is based on consensus. If you have a disagreement with another editor, you need to work it out on the talk page and stop edit warring until the problem is resolved, using dispute resolution if needed. Repeatedly reverting other editors is considered disruptive and will get you blocked. If you request to be unblocked again, please calm down a bit and see this guide for some tips. — Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:10, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Request reason:

You have been contradicting yourself this whole time! Who is talking about other sites? I said on this site (Wikipedia). You say: "If you have a disagreement with another editor, you need to work it out on the talk page and stop edit warring until the problem is resolved, using dispute resolution if needed. Well why then don't you step in? I would have to say that may be the reason why you were given administrative powers? I can tell you right now that both of us are not going to give in on this subject. But as an active duty military member who's been to Iraq and stationed in Germany, I would have to say hands down I know what's right about this subject. "Repeatedly reverting other editors is considered disruptive and will get you blocked" Well he was doing the same thing in this statement, so why don't you block him? At the end of this I see this process is just a big joke, you cant get passed me calling you out from the start. I have given you hard cold facts, straight out of Wikipedia it self. So go ahead decline this request again. I'm already counting on that! But if you even care, which I can tell you really don't. Here is a few other subjects that I started for or redid for Wikipedia!
  • Authorized foreign decorations of the United States military
  • International decoration
  • German Armed Forces Flood Service Medal
  • German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency
  • German Sports Badge
  • German Armed Forces Badge of Marksmanship
  • German Armed Forces Service Medal
I have yet to receive anything about any of them saying that I'm wrong. So I would have to say my track record on US Military subjects speakes for it self!

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:
