AD&D Userbox
so um does that mean it no longer works till i fix it, that everyone has to alter their pages to get it to work again? that i need to somehow inform people where to find and how to use it now?
i never knew where to put the darn thing and just followed what instructions i found for creating one, but as long as it works and people can still use it without any special attention from me each time someone wants to use it i don't really mind where it is. rather pleased actually that after all this time someone has taken the time to at least inform me where user created userboxes go, or that a usebox policy change may have occured that i may wish to look into and learn about the changes. shadzar|Talk|contribs 20:53, 30 July 2007 (UTC)
Userbox link with text change...
I may have misunderstood your question on the Wikipedia_talk:Userboxes/New_Userboxes page, but I posted up the following response:
"Isn't that done by putting a separator between the link phrase and your desired text, thus - '''[[Grammar Nazi|Grammarian smarty-pants]]''' = Grammarian smarty-pants ? Now someone can help me by telling me which keys on my PC keyboard produce the separator - I'm fed up with having to copy and paste. Thanks."
Hope this helps, but I'm sure you must have meant something else. Drywontonmee 00:54, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
- I think I got what you meant. Does this look right? 63.172.28.121 20:03, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
- Hell yeah! Thank you, Anonymous! :D --coldacid (Talk|Contrib) 16:56, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
RCAC userbox
No sweat, I was just trying to help out - many userboxes have non-free images that get deleted leaving them bare, as a member of Wikiproject Userboxes one of the things I do is try to fix them up. Usually that goes over well, but if you want to protest Wikipedia's fair-use policy then by all means go ahead! - Ahunt (talk) 12:18, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Toastmasters International
If you're excessively interested, here is a praising review of a book that contains information on the organization. Could be a good bet as an RS for the article. Someguy1221 (talk) 04:44, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks! Now I just need to convince my local library to get a copy. It'd be great to finally start getting some sources for the article that aren't from TI. --coldacid (talk|contrib) 04:48, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
