Avenue U, is a local station on the BMT Sea Beach Line of the New York City Subway, located in Brooklyn on West 7th Street between Avenue U and Avenue T.
The main exit at the south end of the station leads to Avenue U. The exit at Avenue T provides HEET (High Entrance/Exit Turnstile) access only. The express tracks are not used except for testing new subway cars.
In 2005 the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places[3]
