Vienna Fingers are a cookie made by the Keebler Company. They consist of a vanilla flavored outer crust filled with vanilla cream flavored filling. In this way, a Vienna Finger can be likened to an Oreo. The cookies themselves come in a red, rectangular package with the words "Vienna Fingers" in white lettering.

History

Vienna Fingers were one of the original products sold by Sunshine Biscuits. Since then, Sunshine Biscuits has been bought by larger companies many times. Today, Vienna Fingers are sold on the Keebler label. Vienna Fingers are thus substantial by helping this fledgling company grow and develop.[citation needed]

Varieties

In addition to the original variety, Vienna fingers also come in a reduced fat variety.[1] The reduced fat variety has less fat than the original.[2]

Cultural Significance

Vienna fingers are very important culturally. They are often mentioned in diet magazines for being healthier than most snacks, especially the fat free variety[3]. Vienna fingers were also mentioned in Neil Simon's famous comedy, the Odd Couple.[4]
