"Westport Island", Maine

I am requesting comments on a proposal to merge Westport Island, Maine with this article. Both articles refer to the same town, so one should be merged into the other. I propose that this article (Westport) be kept, and the Westport Island redirect to this one. Based on local websites, it appears that many people call the town "Westport Island", but the town seal itself says "Westport". Thoughts? --Ken Gallager (talk) 12:44, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Westport Island

The name was officially changed from Westport to Westport Island a few years ago. They are one in the same and the pages should be merged.Irish919 (talk) 16:33, 20 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
