Oak Grove High School is a secondary school located in San Jose, California which serves students in grades 9-12. Average student enrollment is 2600 students, compared to the state average of 900 students. The school is part of the East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD). As of 2008, the school principal is Richard Frias.

Oak Grove High School has a history of well-performing sporting achievements, particularly in football (C.C.S. Champion years: '78,'86,'97,'99, '04, and '07), basketball, track, soccer, and many other sports competitions. Their school mascot is the eagle.

I.D. Badges

In recent years, Oak Grove High School has introduced student I.D. badges; these badges are supposed to be a more convenient alternative to school uniforms.

Non-fatal stabbing incident

On May 20, 2008, a 17 year old senior female was stabbed about 10 times by a 16 year old sophomore female from South San Jose, Claudia Citali Montalbo. The senior survived the stabbing with minor stab wounds to the back and the sophomore is expelled from all high schools in the East Side Union High School District, as well as being charged as an adult for attempted murder with gang enhancement charges. There is some evidence to this being a gang - related stabbing, since the antagonist has admitted to being a member of the Norteño street gang. However, on May 23, 2008 the San Jose Police Department received a call that there would be a gang retaliation to the event, and that there was a student on campus who had a firearm. A Code Blue was announced near the end of 4th Period, and at 1:20 PM school was dismissed and all students were forced off campus.
