TO whom it may concern...the rugby section of this article is way too long. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sidd2271 (talk • contribs) 05:38, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Corrections Made
I polished the section today, though it still has enough information to warrant its own page (see "Athletics" tab above. This section could use links to tournament and team pages as well as additional references. ~B —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.12.66.99 (talk) 16:06, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Athletics

The athletics section has grown enough that it may be a good idea to create a new article for it. Give a brief overview on the main page, then create a link to an athletics page. The same could also apply to the rugby section.

Moved

Relocated to a new main article.

Revamp : Comments

I'm not sure as to who is 'revamping' this site, but it appears as if the entire content is more or less information found on the website - kutztown.edu

Kutztown has overcrowding problems, although this cannot be cited. However, to indicate that the University is expanding is a bit ... POV?

Just a thought. I found it quite interesting how long the Bake Sale picture was up there. Yours truly took it.

Also, the pictures a very professional looking. However, real-life (non professional) pictures would do a better job at showing the atmosphere on campus. For example, there are quite a few snow shots I have lying around.

I also like how all the information critical to the operations of the University was removed. This is beginning to look like a sales pitch or something...

I don't know of a staff member that I can find that would go under that alias, it would be interesting to know if the user who revamped the page is directly tied to the University. mpeg 19:49, 4 April 2007 (UTC)dctmpeg[reply]

Response

Much of what is present is directly from the website. I was working to fix that, though I did not make much progress before time restraints forbid me from continuing. If you would like to help, then please do so. See "Project: Revamp" below.

I don't understand what issue you have with the expansion project. The previous information was purely subjective opinion. What is present now is at least factual.

The bake sale controvery is a current issue, not information regarding the university. As such, current event issues have separate articles. You are more than welcome to make one, but it doesn't belong here.

I agree that the page could use additional images. A "real-life" image would be just fine, just don't put it directly under the infobox. Find an appropriate section that matches.

The changes made thus far have been conducted from an objective viewpoint. If you have a specific issue with a specific use of language, then tag it -- nobody is perfect. Otherwise, please do not make arbitrary claims. Remember that, in an objective article, criticizing is just as subjective as praising.156.12.66.54 02:55, 5 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project: Revamp

Revamping project is underway as of Feb. 23, 2007. Expect a complete overhaul over the next few weeks. Btrobinson 04:05, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project: Revamp - Update

While much progress has been made, I do not, at present, have time to continue the overhaul.
Items remaining:
- "History" section - it is very much a generic overview not far expanded outside of website source
- "Campus" section expansion in all sub-headings
- additional images, especially one to fill space between infobox and article beside the table of contents
- lastly, request a re-evaulation of article quality and importance assessment

Unless critical, please do not make major changes outside of these without first discussing them.

ResNet

This doesn't really belong in the article so I think we should delete it. I'll leave this message up for 2 weeks before I delete it to try and gain a consensus. Thank you all. American Patriot 1776 20:03, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Resnet - response:

I don't understand why it needed to be removed. I feel that it would be appropriate to keep said section, but perhaps have an alternate page for various tidbits on the University. I edited that back in 2005 from a 156.12.144.XXX IP range I believe, and am curious on the opinion on providing additional information on various topics. Thank you. :)

History

I think the history needs to be re-written. It's copied and pasted from the school's website and it includes the nieve notion that Berks County was still the American frontier in the 1860s (by which time California had aleady acheived statehood). Getagrip123 23:05, 23 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ku logo.JPG

Image:Ku logo.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

POV

So, it doesn't matter if my POV is biased - as long as I state openly and slightly aggressively that the article is unbiased, then that takes care of everything! (please note sarcasm) The original first poster is right, there are point of view issues. Often it is in subtle word choices, but it's there, just as it seems to be in most institution articles on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.197.30.11 (talk) 01:02, 31 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
