After starring at [[Division III]] [[State University of New York at Cortland|Cortland State]] (SUNY Cortland), he was signed as an [[undrafted free agent]] by the [Washington Redskins] of the [[National Football League]]. Signed to its practice squad, released in October 1997. April 1998 signed with Saskatchewan RoughRiders [[Canadian Football League|CFL]])(1998-2000)in his rookie year,Truluck had an amazing debut, tallying three sacks and nine tackles, capturing Defensive Player of the Week, unfortunately his promising young season was cut short after four games due to injury, Post Concussion Syndrome from two concussions. Signing with [[Detroit Fury]][[Arena Football League|AFL] from (2001-2002) he captured Rookie of the Year(2001) and Lineman of the Year honors(2002). Later signing with (2002-2004)Kansas City Chiefs][[National Football League]. The following year (2003)was sort of a coming out season, in fourteen games of the [[2003 NFL season|2003]] season, he recorded seventeen tackles and six sacks. Truluck was known during his time in Kansas City for providing an effective pass rush on third downs, and his unique name.

Early life

Truluck attended Spring Valley High School, where he lettered in football three times and was an All-State and All-County Linebacker his senior season. He spent his high school years growing up at the Lakeside Family & Children’s Center in Rockland County, New York, a group foster home that he still visits in the offseason.

College career

Truluck attended SUNY-Cortland where he played in 35 career games, with 27 starts. He recorded 238 tackles (121 solo), 21 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and seven passes defensed.

As sophomore, Truluck recorded 64 tackles, six sacks, seven tackles-for-loss and two blocked field goal attempts in 10 games as a Defensive End. As a junior, he started 10 games at Outside Linebacker, and recorded 105 tackles, 6.5 sacks, five tackles-for-loss and two blocked field goal attempts. After playing at Division III SUNY-Cortland, Truluck was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. He was then signed to the teams practice squad, however, he was then released in October 1997.

Canadian Football League (1998 - 2000)
